As a French person living in Japan, I quickly realized that supermarkets here are very different from the ones in France.
Some are incredibly cheap, some have great imported products, and others are perfect for buying souvenirs to take home.
After trying many supermarkets in Tokyo, here are my personal Top 3.

It’s also a great place to buy souvenirs like matcha sweets or Japanese snacks.
Why I love Gyomu Super:
- Many imported products
- Cheap frozen foods

- Big portions
LIFE(ライフ)
LIFE feels more like a “local Japanese supermarket.”
